I'm so excited to hear the new Amanda Blank album. I first got to know Blank when she appeared on the Spank Rock album Bangers & Cash, which I previously reviewed on this blog. She rules.
In writing this blog I have learned Blank appeared on an official remix for Britney Spears' "Gimme More" by Eli Escobar and Doug Grayson, which I will now have to obsessively track down. (EDIT: SEE BELOW) Weird, but good discovery. In related news, my other favourite music of late is Miike Snow, 2/3 of which is Bloodshy & Avant, who produced, most famously, Toxic, and a number of Britney's best and most interesting songs, like Freakshow (one of only 2 Spears-penned tracks from the awesome Blackout album) and the rumoured next single from Circus Unusual You.( Both of which sound pretty terrible over computer speakers - lately I've been pretty obsessed with high production value and suffice it to say nothing with good production sounds remotely correct on computer speakers.)
Funny.

I saw her last week, opening for the yeah yeah yeahs. She was quite good!
