There is a struggle in America for artists to appeal to the youth of today. The problem is, you see, that the youth we see on television represents a true minority that actually exist in the USA. That's right, in order to sell records you have to appeal to the parents of children who are raised thinking that being American is synonymous with saving yourself for marriage, not believing in evolution, and the replacement of self-righteous indoctrination with common sense. By saying puritan stupid shit like she did in this video (which has been removed btw) she can appeal to her target market, and continue making money singing about breakups and dry humping.
